Iren Gotye is a talented singer, actress, producer, DJ, and composer who has been releasing music officially since 2016. Her upcoming music, including her near-to-release single Aladdin, fuse together her talents and inspirations, packaged together into deep house music. Hey, thanks for chatting with us. Tell us a little about yourself.

I’m a singer, actress, songwriter, and composer and perform in soul, jazz, and pop music. I’ve performed on stages in China, Sweden, America, and other countries, participated in the musical Notre-Dame de Paris, playing the role of Esmeralda, and as an actress, I’ve been in many films and TV series.

Who or what inspired you to start making music? And, when did you start?

Music has always been a passion of mine since childhood. It started as a hobby, but eventually evolved into something I pursued professionally. For me, music is not just an art form; it’s my oxygen, my driving force, and my deepest passion.

What is your biggest challenge as an artist?

My biggest challenge as an artist is never stopping. The constant push to evolve, innovate, and stay inspired can be demanding, but it’s what keeps me moving forward and growing.

What is your favorite project or single you have released?

My favorite project is yet to come.My favorite project is yet to come, but I truly enjoyed the team and the deep spirituality we worked with on the Notre-Dame de Paris project.

Who are your inspirations? What artists or bands are you listening to?

I find a lot of inspiration in nature and deeply meaningful, insightful people. When it comes to music, I listen to a wide variety of styles. It is often a blend of depth, effortless lightness, and beautifully unpredictable harmonies.

What’s the process behind working on a song like?

If I’m writing a song, it usually happens in about 10 minutes when inspiration strikes. It feels effortless, almost like I’m simply writing down a song I’ve known for a long time, one I’ve already heard in many ways. Then, of course, we refine everything with the arranger.

Tell me about your upcoming music and what inspired you to create it.

I want to create music where harmony flows. I want to craft tunes where rhythmic beats blend with melodies that, like a silken breeze, wrap around the rhythm, carrying listeners into a space where time ceases to exist.

What are your plans for 2025?

In 2025, I’d like to get closer to my listeners through music. I want to create a deeper connection, where we inspire each other. I want to know them better, and I hope they feel the same way about me. It’s about building true synergy.

Have any shoutouts?

I’d love to send my warmest regards to all my listeners. My gratitude goes to life, every experience, and every person who was and is a part of my journey.

With her first official single since 2021, Aladdin, on the cusp of being released, Iren is set to make a major impact in the music industry in 2025. Aladdin is the first part of a larger rollout of singles and music videos on the horizon. Until then, check out her catalog on Spotify, YouTube, or wherever you stream music online.
