Who is Spell Jordan?

Spell Jordan is a twenty-six-year-old Washington, DC transplant, originally from Philadelphia, PA. Spell Jordan took the music industry by storm with a series of singles and albums, notably Models with Lil Xan and FIGHT! with Wavy Jone$ in 2018. His music often falls into the subgenres of emo rap, drill, lo-fi, trap metal, trap, and phonk. On July 24, 2020, Spell Jordan released his latest full-length project, Underworld. After more than 4,000,000 streams and two national tours during 2022, Spell Jordan has created and built a unique and dedicated following.  

Spell Jordan has had an incredible year, exploding in growth from only 10,000 monthly listeners to more than 100,000 monthly listeners in the past nine months. This has been thanks to the growing buzz around his single FIGHT! with Canadian rapper Wavy Jone$. Despite it being almost four years old, the song is getting more and more streams each month, hitting over 200,000 each month. This just goes to show that you should never give up—your biggest song could already be out, and it might not blow up for years. 

In addition to the success of FIGHT!, Spell Jordan has been releasing song after song this year, many with acclaimed Greek producer SLVG. Their first collaboration, The Crow, released in April of this year, has almost 10,000 streams by itself. They released an EP together called Movie Night that received praise from fans of both artists, which featured the songs Nite Owl and Shooter feat. REROCK. which received music videos as well.

Spell Jordan’s success has not just been digital. He has been on two headlining tours this year, the first was a solo tour in DC, Chicago, and Atlanta, that featured support from artists like 909Memphis, Nigo Chanel, Act Natural, Ehzer, and many others. Ending in September, Spell Jordan’s second tour was a joint effort with Act Natural, performing three times together over the summer in DC and Boston, with support from Jackie Platinum, Hayden Margo, and more. 

With the stats to back him up, Spell Jordan is carving his own lane in the DMV scene, mixing together influences from the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and DC hip hop scenes that Spell Jordan found himself in while living in those three states.
