An Interview with Chris Gullace
Born and raised in Brick, NJ, Chris Gullace grew up at the Jersey Shore listening to every type of music he could find. He obsessed over Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Sublime, and, of course, The Beatles. Rock and roll was what he loved to play. Continuing the long-standing tradition of the singer-songwriter-guitarist, Chris has one goal when creating music: no two songs shall ever be alike. Splitting his time between Asbury Park, NJ, and Nashville, TN, Chris is hitting his stride with writing three albums in one calendar year. We caught up with him to chat about everything he’s working on and his career in general.
Who or what inspired you to start making music? And when did you start?
I picked up a guitar after watching Jimi Hendrix play guitar. My first concert was Bon Jovi when I was a little kid, and I wanted to be a musician ever since.
What is your biggest challenge as an artist?
Finding ways to make a great income with our art.
What is your favorite project or single you have released?

What’s the process behind working on a song like?
I write all my songs with my acoustic guitar and my cell phone. I record all my music now in Nashville, Tennessee, at Off the Row Studios.
Tell me about your upcoming music and what inspired you to create it!
I have a new album out this June called “Circumstances,” which is a blend of singer-songwriter, country, and rock.
What are your plans for 2024?
Release my next album, release a music video, go out on shows, showcases, and tour, and try to get signed to Atlantic Records.
Have any shoutouts?
My producer, Pat Noon, who got me started in music back in 2012. My family, and my new producers in Nashville, PT Houston and Erin McCaffrey.
