Spell Jordan’s 9th Album Releases On Friday
It’s been over two years since the last Spell Jordan album, and a lot has changed for the artist since then. When Spell Jordan released Underworld in 2020, the pandemic was at its height and the artist was continuing to experiment with new styles. Spell Jordan was disappointed in the reception of the project, but was resilient. The next year, he returned to stages in August 2021 as the pandemic began to slow down, and released a number of collaborations that help him grow his fanbase further—5000 feat. KIL, Platinum Medal with Jackie Platinum, and Christmas on the Beach with Kevin Kazi.
Still, the results weren’t there. In 2022, he refocused his energy and began to create more music reminiscent of his earlier, darker, rap music with phonk and trap influences. He also went on his first tour, hitting stages in Washington DC, Chicago, and Atlanta in January and February. He teamed up with producer SLVG to release the Movie Night EP, where Spell Jordan rapped over some of the acclaimed producer’s phonk and dark trap instrumentals. That month, Spell Jordan’s career changed trajectory. His single Fight! with Wavy Jone$ began to pick up steam, growing to over 2,000,000 streams by the end of the year.
It was clear to him that the fans wanted his old style back, and that’s what he gave them. Working closely with SLVG, Spell Jordan began crafting his next sound, a mix of his old, dark style and new drill influences. The pair put out a number of singles, including the hit single Kia Boys, which featured MD rapper REROCK. The song got a music video after hitting 2,000 streams on Spotify and 1,000 streams on SoundCloud and is one of Spell Jordan’s most streamed videos recently.
On December 9, 2022, Spell Jordan will be returning with his first album in over 2 years. Aptly titled Last Chance, Spell Jordan’s 9th studio album is one more go at success. Featuring 9 songs produced by SLVG and Jake OHM, Last Chance is a must listen for new and old fans a like. Take a listen to Kia Boys, Dogfight!, Rolling, and Punch Out on Spotify before the album releases on December 9. Presave the album on Spotify here. Want to learn more about Spell Jordan?
