Charlie Icon Has Food For Your Ears
What’s a better snack than gas station nachos? To many people, a lot of things. To Charlie Icon, there isn’t much—gas station nachos can always taste like a five star night. It just takes the company of someone you love. This belief builds the concept of Charlie Icon’s 2025 extended play and the project’s title track: Gas Station Nachos. The EP’s four songs have everything you would be looking for in a country pop record.
The title track and second single has become beloved by fans, sporting over 40,000 total streams on Spotify alone. Charlie is not new to the music industry. In fact, he has been performing on stage since he was five years old, nearly three decades ago. His journey from the stages to the corporate financial world back to the music industry is an inspiring tale of never giving up on your dreams.
“I’ve been on stages since I was 5 years old. It was my passion to perform (and) to create art through music. To influence people. To give memories. From then and for the next 25 years I pursued that passion,” said Charlie.
Fusing rock, indie, country, and pop influences, Gas Station Nachos is unapologetically authentic art, reflecting Charlie Icon’s passion for music of all kinds. With three of four songs from the EP hitting more than 1,000 streams on Spotify, it’s definitely sticking with people, even months after it released. For new and old fans of Charlie’s music, this is one you’re going to have saved. While he has been making music for decades, his earliest digital release was the single Featherweight in 2021. He followed that up with Washed Up Rockstar in 2022 and two more singles that year. He took a hiatus before returning in 2024 with Give ‘Em Hell.
“I believed that was everything left I had to give to the passion that had fueled me for so long. 10 years later … there is a round two … I am not done yet,” Charlie reflected. Gas Station Nachos is that round two. Sit back, relax, and enjoy what Charlie has worked on. It’s truly unique and has something for everyone. Still, there is more where this comes from. Charlie is working on new singles, planning to release another before 2026.
