Samantha Marie Releases Sophomore Album

When it comes to indie pop music, names like Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Chapell Roan, and others might come to mind. But those in the scene know there are many other talented artists that the spotlight has not yet shined on. One of those artists is Samantha Marie Saglibene, who performs under the moniker Samantha Marie. 

First emerging in 2022 with her debut single, When You’re Not There, it’s only been up for the Florida-born singer-songwriter. She closed out 2022 with the release of her first official extended play, Running in Place, which hit digital stores on December 31, 2022. When You’re Not There and Through The Night took off online, garnering more than 300,000 streams with those two tracks alone. 

In nine months, she published her first studio album, Summers, which received critical acclaim and included her single Strawberry Sensation, her most successful song to date. The track, alongside an incredible music video, have been streamed more than 1.5M times, with over 1M streams on Spotify alone. That had fans coming back for more. 

She then published an EP of remixes from the album, as well as a number of buzzing singles, including a collaboration with the artist Covey on shinjuku. In September, 2024, she gave fans what they were asking for: shapeshifting, her sophomore album. With a more refined sound, Samantha delivers seven spectacular songs, with the project breaking 57,000 streams in ten days.
