Samantha Marie Sets Sail

Samantha Marie, the indie pop sensation from Florida, has been making waves in the music industry since her move to Los Angeles. In 2023, she released her debut album, Summers, and received strong praise from critics and listeners. The lead single to the album, Strawberry Sensation, helped catapult her into the ranks of rising talent and helped her hit the 1M+ streaming mark for the first time. Another standout single from the release was Scarlet Letters in the Ocean, a slower and more melancholy track with over 12,000 streams on Spotify. On January 12, Samantha Marie released the music video to Scarlet Letters in the Ocean, directed by Michela Maria. 

The music video comments on the joys of human connection and the price of greed in society, the latter of which contributes to a feeling that we, as humans, “never have enough.” The video shows Samantha reflecting on the past through videos and pictures. Samantha rips up pictures of her past as she embarks on the next stage of her journey. 

After a successful tour promoting her album Summers, she took some time to focus on creating music, which she is excited to share in the future.
