Make Your Next Rollout a Success
Our three-part process to artist success works for artists anywhere in the world making any genre of music. We’ve simplified the music industry down to three simple steps: pitch, promote, and post. Whether you’re a new artist or established, this process encapsulates everything the modern artist needs to succeed in the digital frontier. The music industry hates to be transparent and tell you what to do succeed, especially record labels, because they fear the artist could just do it themselves. Record labels and managers may even utilize this three part process without knowing. In short, pitching is about sending your music to industry stakeholders and decision makers with the goal of getting blog and radio coverage, bookings, and more. Promoting is about advertising your music to a targeted demographic when and where they want to listen to new music. Finally, posting refers to consistency on social media. A client approached DCR to help him release his debut mixtape and opted in for the entire process, and we immediately hit the ground running. Social media saw organic success immediately. On a relatively new account with under 100 followers, our first post on TikTok for this client broke 13,000 views in the first day. We then were able to break the five-figure mark, seeing videos hit 10,700, 36,900, 12,300, 13,700, and 10,600 views on videos again and again. With strong social media content, we were able to grow his TikTok from under 100 followers to over 600. We also saw success on YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, dramatically outperforming our goals on both platforms. Across all social media accounts, we brought in over 45,000 impressions and 2,400 engagements organically.
Our client wanted to get blog coverage for his mixtape, and we succeeded on that front, landing coverage for his mixtape on 7 different relevant blogs. His music was also pitched to and engaged by, meaning listening to his music, viewing his EPK, or contacting us, 18 A&Rs at record labels including Atlantic Records, WMG, and more. Next, we needed to advertise the client’s music to build and strengthen his fanbase. We ran ad campaigns on YouTube, Spotify, and Meta to drive users to stream his mixtape or watch one of the music videos. Our ad campaigns reached over 100,000 people and directly brought the client 62,407 streams to the client’s music. With 31.93% of listeners streaming 100% of the song, users listened through the client’s song in the campaign over 19,000 times.
Rolling out your next project or single doesn’t have to be difficult. DCR’s full-service approach to succeeding in the music industry takes the weight of pitching, promoting, and posting about your music off your shoulders. The best part is we have results to back us up. In addition to the artists we have helped succeed like the one in this case study, our founder is a full time recording artist with over 10,000,000 streams and 280,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. We live by the principle that if you can’t do it for yourself, you can’t do it for anyone else.
