New Music: Renaissance Heart – Layers

The wait for Renaissance Heart’s debut album Layers is finally over! Renaissance Heart is a multicultural world music band consisting of Hila Plitmann, Aditya Kalyanpur, and Shea Welsh. Shea Welsh’s melodic guitar strumming, Aditya’s rhythmic drumming, and Hila Plitmann’s lovely vocals combine to make a beautiful band. Renaissance Heart creates organic, reimagined connections between classical, jazz, folk, rock, and world music genres. Their music is truly inspired by their love for Mother Earth and all she possesses. Tune into this article while we discuss their latest album, Layers. 

Renaissance Heart is the perfect trifecta. To begin with, you have Hila Plitmann, a two-time Grammy winner and soprano, songwriter, and actress. It is no surprise that she makes such a great lead vocalist due to her magnificent voice. On guitar, you have the distinguished Shea Welsh who never misses a beat. The talented Indian tabla maestro Aditya Kalyanpur rounds out the lineup with his tantalizing rhythmic drumming. 

Featuring 11 tracks filled with songs that will take you to another world, this album is produced to perfection. With each song being unique from the first, it is a wonderful collection of songs that is both impressive and flexible. Renaissance Heart has many more surprises in store for us, and I’m excited to see what’s next.
