Who is Ken Carson?
Ken Carson whose real name is Kenyatta L Frazier Jr, was born on April 11, 2000, in Atlanta, Georgia, and is an American recording artist and producer. Although he’s only 19, he’s already emerging as a leading figure in a new generation of “underground” rappers, alongside artists like SoFaygo, SSGKobe, and Yeat.
After moving to South Atlanta, Ken met record producer TM88 and signed with 808 Mafia. Playboi Carti’s Opium label signed him in 2019. His first two EPs, Boy Barbie and Teen X were released in 2020. The latter featured Yale, his biggest hit to date. Lost Files, Ken’s compilation of throwaways from his third EP, Teen X: Relapsed, features standout track High as Sh!T. His debut album, Project X, was released in July 2021.
Recently, Ken changed his stage name from ”Ken Car$on” to ”Ken Carson ‘ on July 2nd, 2022. The End was Carson’s latest single, released on July 5. The rapper describes the track as “super mellow” and it immediately went viral on YouTube. He describes his sound as feel-good music and explains that “If you’re down, it’ll make you feel good.” His new album, X, which came out on July 8, continues to showcase his therapeutic sound.
