Who is Pasto Flocco?
New York based hip hop artist Pasto Flocco, whose real name is Tevon Tapper, has been working on his music since a young age. Originally from Far Rockaway, NY, he was an AAU ranked basketball player that decided to choose true passions over basketball talents. His music was powerful enough to garner 114,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. He was only 17 when he started to really take off. His first official song, titled after his other passion – basketball, Ball Hard that dropped in 2018 and did very well.
Since then, he has continued to rise in the world of music. His full-length project, Dreams 2 Reality, was released after that and features words of empowerment. This 13-song record represents his journey towards his dreams and he wants listeners to also develop towards their dreams.
Pasto Flocco felt that he had to choose between basketball and music. Fortunately for Flocco, music has become a big deal and he is doing it successfully. He says that he “stopped playing [basketball] because it was boring so I started making clothes and doing music. I took a break doing clothes then I kept pushing my music.” He wants his music to stand out from the music that already exists. So far, he is pulling that off. His music keeps climbing and he is happy doing it.
