24 million plays – the next song that you have to add to your playlist is just that popular. Michigan, by trap-rapper Chavo, is taking off on Spotify and you’ll regret it if you do not start listening to it now. Chavo, aka. Ray Ray, is a 27-year-old that is making his sound heard. Chavo is using Pi’erre Bourne beats, is a member of Pi’erre’s SossHouse crew – alongside Jelly, Bermuda Yae, Frazier Trill, Sharc, and J Billz – and he raps with his sister Coi Leray. It is unsurprising that this is a family affair because their father, Benzino, founded hip hop music, culture, and politics publication, The Source Magazine

Chavo’s music is similar to Playboi Carti and Young Nudy’s. With SossHouse, he debuted Chavo’s World in 2020. The following year, he dropped Chavo’s World 2. That album included a remix of his top song Michigan, featuring Pi’erre Bourne and Babyface Ray. Just this month, he dropped HOOD LUVA, Vol. 2, bringing his discography to a whopping five albums.

You can listen to his new music on Apple Music. You can also immerse yourself in the full breadth of his talent by going back to where it started with singles like Had a Feeling on Spotify.
