Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
My name is William and I am the singer/songwriter for willcody, based out of Hamden, CT.
When did willcody start making music?
Willcody started making music roughly a year or so ago.
Who inspires willcody?
My influences are Elliott Smith, Bright Eyes, Tom Waits, Townes Van Zandt, Kevin Devine, Criteria, Cursive, Lullaby for the Working Class, The National, Nick Cave, and Death Cab for Cutie.
How would you describe your music style?
I would describe my music style as an indie, singer/songwriter, and emo.
Who are you listening to now?
I’m currently listening to The Replacements, Samia, Bartees Strange, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Kendrick Lamar, Desaparecidos, Kevin Devine, and Henry Jamison.
What’s your best project or single so far?
The best single so far is To Bloom.
Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?
We have a two-song single coming out soon that we are really excited to put out.
