An Interview with Tom Tales
Tom Tales is a Québécois artist who entered the industry earlier this year with his Chaser anthem – Big Bear, a record that resonated with gay and queer listeners, specifically those within the Chaser and Bear demographics. We sat down with Tom to discuss his inspirations, his music, and more.
Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
I’m Tom Tales. I am from Montreal but I create in Brooklyn New York!
When did you start making music?
When I was just a little child—I was 2 years old with a piano.
Who inspired you to start making music?
My dad—he was a musician himself.
How would you describe your music style?
A mix of the Friends TV show, and an interview with Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols.
Who are you listening to now?
I’m listening to a lot of Thin Lizzy!
What’s your best project or single so far?
My favorite release so far is Big Bear (I’m In Love).
Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?
A song about food called Lectious Delicious is coming soon!
