New Music: Sasha D’Nise – The Live Pre-Album

At the age of six, Sasha D’Nise fell in love with acting and singing. “I come from a musical family. Growing up with my dad, who was also a singer, we would sing together daily when I was a young child. He inspired my love for Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Temptations, Stylistics, The Bee Gees, and many other quartet groups,” Sasha reflects in our recent interview. Based in Toledo, Ohio, she has performed with artists such as Ciara, the Ying Yang Twins, Mario Avant, as well as at venues across Toledo. 

Over the past decade, Sasha has mastered the art of record producing, recording hooks for other local artists, and keeping some of her best work in the vault. After releasing an album in 2014 under the stage name Sasha P, titled No More Questions, Sasha took five years off before returning with four singles in 2019 and 2020 – Be Alone, On You, Drinking, and Exhausted. 

Earlier this month, Sasha released the live version of Drinking on her Vevo channel on YouTube – receiving over 10,000 streams in the first two weeks. This gave new fans a taste of her raw talent and stage presence. 

On April 11th, Sasha followed up on the live performance of Drinking with a three-song live EP, The Live Pre-Album, released with a video on Vevo. In under one week, Sasha D’Nise’s Live Pre-Album Performance received over 50,000 views on YouTube.

Sasha is planning for more music this year, with her next single, Soul Glow, releasing on May 5th, and her full-length album dropping on May 21st.
