An Interview with Yungty2x – F.o.3 and the 2x Movement

We had the chance to sit down with 24 year old emcee Yungty2x from Connellsville, PA to discuss his inspirations, upbringing, F.o.3. and 2x, and more!

Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from? 

My name is Ty also known as Yungty2x, I’m 24 years old from Connellsville in Mount Pleasant PA.

When did you start making music? 

First started making music in elementary school, rap battling friends on an old karaoke type thing.

Who inspired you to start making music?

Not really sure who inspired me, when I was little I was always watching MTV music videos and told everyone ima be on here one day … so I guess MTV.

How would you describe your music style?

I would describe my music style more of a Lil Skies type. 

Who are you listening to now?

Honestly I listen to everybody, but definitely Guapo Lennon, Lil Skies, Wiz, Lil Durk, NBA YoungBoy.

What’s your best project or single so far?

My best project or single so far would probably be the project I just finished Rookie of the Year which will be released soon but I dropped 2 new songs off the mixtape on YouTube, On my Own and Love Me (feat. Jimbo2x).

Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?

Definitely look out for the “Rookie of the Year” album! It’s scheduled for Dec. 29th but may be delayed due to the holidays
