An Interview with EliMillionz – Georgia, Go Hard Or Go Home, and More
We recently sat down with Riverdale, GA based recording artist EliMillionz to discuss his start making music, his inspirations and favorite artists, and unique music style.
Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
I’m EliMillionz coming straight out of Riverdale, Georgia located on the South side of Atlanta. I have been living on the South side my whole life!
When did you start making music?
I started making music in the 11th grade (2015-2016) with two of my friends during that time. We used to record our songs on a free downloadable software called Audacity and with a $50 USB microphone that I purchased.
Who inspired you to start making music?
One of my closest friends til this day, who I had started making music with in high school is who inspired me to start making music. It was a time period between 2017- now when I had got off of making music completely and I was just strictly supporting my friend from high school who was still making music. His motivation and determination to succeed in music is what really inspired me to start back making music.
How would you describe your music style?
I would describe my music style as being very melodic & soul uplifting. I say soul uplifting not just because of the uplifting sound my music gives but also because of the knowledge I give in a lot of my songs. I’m big on morals so I push that through my music instead of pushing violence. But overall my music is a fun, upbeat type of music style that a lot of people would enjoy once heard.
Who are you listening to now?
Lately i’ve just been listening to artists that’s from my side of town which is Playboi Carti, Shad da God, Gunna, Nefew, etc. It’s definitely a lot of talent coming out of the Southside of Atlanta.
What’s your best project or single so far?
My best single that I feel I have out now is “Go Hard or Go Home” just because of the versatility the song holds. It can be played in a nightclub setting and people would start to turn up to it or you can play it when you’re alone and just need something to vibe out to. It’s just a song I feel that fits all aspects.
Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?
I got 2 more singles and a EP dropping early 2020. I would definitely be on the look out for these because all of these songs that’s gonna be released are major vibes! I poured my soul, thoughts, and personality all on these tracks.
Have any shout outs?
Shout out to all the people who continuously support me even though they don’t have to. Lastly, shout out to my brother Dc for influencing me to get into my passion which is music.
