Paul Rajeckas and Spell Jordan Dig a Hole

ByDCR September 14, 2026September 14, 2026

Paul Rajeckas and Spell Jordan reunite for “Hole,” an experimental underground hip-hop track that turns emotional isolation, physical pain, substance use, and self-destructive thinking into something raw and immersive.

At the center of “Hole” is the feeling of being trapped inside your own head. Its recurring hook captures the contradiction of wanting to live, feel, and move forward while simultaneously sinking deeper into a situation that feels impossible to escape. The image of digging further into a hole becomes the song’s central metaphor, reflecting the exhaustion of knowing something is wrong without knowing how to get out.

Spell Jordan approaches the track with an intensely personal writing style, moving between vulnerability, dark humor, pop-culture references, and observations from everyday life. Lyrics about chronic pain, money problems, driving through D.C., substance use, and emotional instability collide with references to Frozone, Appa, NLE Choppa, and Lucy. Those shifts give the song its character, making it feel less like a carefully organized confession and more like thoughts spilling out in real time.

Paul Rajeckas gives that writing an appropriately unconventional setting. Rather than forcing the track into a polished mainstream hip-hop structure, “Hole” embraces an experimental underground sound where atmosphere, repetition, and tension carry as much weight as traditional hooks and verses.

That approach is especially effective when the chorus returns. “I wanna feel / I wanna know” becomes more than a hook. It sounds like a search for answers, connection, relief, and some indication that there is a way forward. Each return to the idea of being unable to escape the hole makes the song feel increasingly claustrophobic.

“Hole” also avoids presenting pain as something clean or poetic. The coping mechanisms described throughout the track are messy, and the song allows those contradictions to remain unresolved. Confidence sits next to vulnerability, humor next to despair, and the desire to keep going next to moments of complete exhaustion.

With “Hole,” Paul Rajeckas and Spell Jordan create a collaboration that is deliberately difficult to categorize. It is rooted in hip-hop, but its atmosphere pushes beyond conventional rap production. More importantly, it captures the feeling suggested by its title: looking upward, knowing there is somewhere else you want to be, and trying to figure out how to start climbing.
