Hey, thanks for chatting with us. Tell us a little about yourself.
I am Val, best known as OKAYVAL. I am a house music DJ and producer, and I love making deep house, tech house, and dance music.
Who or what inspired you to start making music? And, when did you start?
My mom; I grew up listening to EDM and developed a passion for it since I was little. I started making music in 2013 under another project “Hiedra Music.”
What is your biggest challenge as an artist?
Time management.
What is your favorite project or single you have released?
Poison.
Who are your inspirations? What artists or bands are you listening to?
Dom Dolla, Martin Garrix, Fisher.
What’s the process behind working on a song like?
A lot of work and creativity. I love messing around with sounds in Logic Pro till I come out with a song idea
Tell me about your upcoming music and what inspired you to create it!
I just released my song Poison. It is a melodic deep house song. I am so glad the people are receiving it well since I don’t usually put a lot of deep house or melodic house out. I was inspired by the current stutter house genre trend.
What are your plans for 2024?
Play more shows and show the world my music.
