An Interview with Creative Kidz
House music has always been the life of the party, and electronic group Creative Kidz is no exception. Their debut release, Sunrise has captured the hearts of club-goers with its energetic beats and epic moods. Creative Kidz is a two-person team producing and creating music from the United Kingdom. Their music blends electronic sounds and rhythms making their songs feel fresh and innovative, while the pulsing beats ensure that the energy never drops.
Hey, thanks for chatting with us. Tell us a little about yourself.
We are an EDM duo band formed by a vocalist and a producer and DJ and we make house and techno music.
Who or what inspired you to start making music? And, when did you start?
We were inspired by artists such as Mabel, Becky Hill, Nathan Dawe, and Jack Jones. We started about 5 years ago.
What is your biggest challenge as an artist?
Getting our music heard by as many people around the world as possible (streams).
What is your favorite project or single you have released?
Our favorite released single is called “Sunrise” and is one of our favorite projects.
Who are your inspirations? What artists or bands are you listening to?
Our inspirations are as follows: Krewella, Ella Henderson, Becky Hill, Mabel, Nathan Dawe, Rehab, Nathan Dawe, Joel Corry, Ella Eyre, etc.
What’s the process behind working on a song like?
I (Michael) start with a few notes on a piano, then I start building more and more putting more things together until we have an instrumental. After the instrumental is done, Anna is writing the lyrics based on a theme that’s inspiring her for the time being.
Tell me about OMG what inspired you to create it!
“OMG” was born from feeling good in your skin, a sense of freedom, youth, partying until the morning, living your life to the fullest, flirting, and self-confidence.
What are your plans for 2023?
We are planning on releasing 3 more songs.
It’s not easy to make a mark in the competitive world of music production, but Creative Kidz manages to stand out from the crowd.
