Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
We are And The Animal. A female-fronted electro-pop band based in Chicago.
When did you start making music?
The band started back in 2015 but with a different line-up. Armando is the original member and founder of the band. There has been a process and an evolution in our sound that got us to where we are now.
Who inspired you to start making music?
We’ve all been making music for a long time and our inspiration and influences come from many different places. We think this is what gives our sound its unique vibe.
How would you describe your music style?
It is hard to label music these days but we describe it as electro-pop with hints of house music.
Who are you listening to now?
We all listen to very different artists. It goes from Rufus Du Sol, Odesza and Drama Duo, to the classics like Pink Floyd and The Doors, to mention a few.
What’s your best project or single so far?
We like all our babies and have different favorites, mostly when it comes down to playing live, but one of our newest singles, called Hot Heat, has been very well received.
Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?
We are currently working on three new tracks. We are taking our time to get them right but they will be coming out this year for sure.

To everybody who constantly comes to our shows. We couldn’t be more grateful for the people who regularly show up. Last but not least, to our neighbor’s next door from our studio, who put up with the noise during our rehearsals.
