Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
My name is Dee Washington, which is also my stage name. I’m from Chicago, Illinois!
When did you start making music?
I started making music in August of 2018… But I have a musical family, so I’ve been around music for a while. I’ve always wanted to sing and always wrote songs.
Who inspired you to start making music?
Michael Jackson is a huge reason I started recording music. Also, Tracy Chapman, who I really look up to.
How would you describe your music style?
I don’t mean to sound cliche but I’m very versatile with my sound. I just adjust to any beat. I don’t have a specific genre.
Who are you listening to now?
Michael Jackson, Tracy Chapman, Cardi b, and Khelani.
What’s your best project or single so far?
Everywhere I go people tell me they like my single “Beware Tha Beast” but I personally like my new song “Hard For Me” that I like that I will release on my new EP called Genesis.
Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?
My new EP I plan on releasing called Genesis.
