FreePaysTheSoul’s Top Three Songs
FreePaysTheSoul is a rising talent in the DMV music scene that you need to be paying attention to. Blurring the line effortlessly between hip hop, pop, indie, and EDM music, FreePaysTheSoul’s music oozes positivity and kindness, something missing in a lot of the music released in recent years. His music features common themes of being selfless, shedding your ego, giving back, and bettering yourself daily. And, the title of his debut album, Today Is Tomorrow, draws similarities to Dale Carnegie’s famous quote “today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.” Most recently, FPTS put out a five-song EP and his second official project, Pivoting Emotions. In this article, we cover three of our favorite songs that FreePaysTheSoul has released thus far.
1. Level 2 Lonely
Level 2 Lonely is a single that just turned one year old. Still, this track is something that feels fresh as ever no matter how many times we listen to it. This song is about love and loneliness, something that everyone can relate to. Crafty, inspiring lyrics in the verses are sandwiched between the melodic hooks. Level 2 Lonely is a great starting point for FPTS’s music.
2. All Dreams
All Dreams is a song all about enjoying life and living out your dreams. It’s also about never giving up, and his journey as a recording artist. This is a song that will really resonate with listeners. As he says at the end of the track, “I got dreams, you got dreams … we all got dreams” no matter who we are. If you’re grinding to make your dream come true, you’ll relate to this song from FPTS’s album Today Is Tomorrow.
3. Don’t Have Forever
Don’t Have Forever tells the story of love and living in the moment. Nothing in life lasts forever, even life itself. FreePaysTheSoul lives his entire life with this mantra, that you need to live in the moment and be positive, because at the end of the day, this is all we have. “We don’t have forever, but we have tonight,” FPTS says at the end of the track.
FreePaysTheSoul is an artist that you don’t want to be overlooking. He’s not only talented but bringing something truly unique to the music industry. We’re extremely excited to see what else he has on the horizon and where he’s able to take his sound to next. Tune in to these tracks, as well as his two official projects, Today Is Tomorrow and Pivoting Emotions, on Spotify or wherever you stream music digitally. Want to learn more about FPTS?
