Freddie Maguire is an Italian singer and composer who was born in Florence, Italy on February 22, 1980, to an Italian mother and an American father. His diverse origins have created a unique international musical recipe, with ingredients of American funk, rock, blues, soul, and Mediterranean influences. He is a musician who crosses oceans and cultures and is regarded as one of the best singers of his genre. Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
I’m an Italian singer and songwriter from Florence, Italy with a family history of my dad being born in Philadelphia and my mom from Italy, I like to mix both my cultures and cross my music between the oceans.
When did you start making music?
I started making music very young at the age of 6. I knew then that music was part of my life, and proud of where it has taken me today and what to see the future has next!
Who inspired you to start making music?
I would always listen to my grandfather and picked up music from him.
How would you describe your music style?
I have a mix of styles, grooves, ballads of influence of rock, RNB, blues, soul and funk.
Who are you listening to now?
I am listening to Incognito, Steely Dan, and Elton John.
What’s your best project or single so far?
My best project so far has to be my latest album, Evidence.
Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?
I would like to put an album out this next year or early next year.
