Upcoming Music: Owshan – ELEVAT8

Owshan will release her debut album this upcoming Friday, May 27th. The similarly named album comes after the release of lead single, Elevat8*, a track that truly sets the stage for the main event. With an introduction, eight chapters, and an intermission, ELEVAT8 definitely tells a story you don’t want to miss!

The hip hop and RnB artist Owshan is well-versed in the art of adventure. She compares her personality to the ocean, with music that is similar to the delicate balance between intense and gentle waves. Following the success of past tracks AAA and Cupid’s Arrow, we know Owshan won’t disappoint on ELEVAT8.

We previously sat down with Owshan to discuss her music journey as well as some of her personal inspirations. Specifically with regard to uniqueness and creativity, she feels drawn to artists like Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu. While you can feel the positivity beaming through her lyrics and sound, that doesn’t mean that a career in music or the arts is easy.
