Who is Pi’erre Bourne?
Audio engineer, record producer, and rapper, the multi-faceted Pi’erre Bourne, whose real name is Jordan Timothy Jenks, has accomplished much in his career. Born September 19th, 1993, Pi’erre has been taking the world by storm since 2016, not just with his production skills, but with his own unique rap music as well.
Since his start in 2016, Pi’erre Bourne has collaborated with several different artists, such as 21 Savage, Playboi Carti, Young Thug, and many more! One of his most notable collaborations is his work done with Kanye West. Pi’erre helped produce Kanye’s Ye and Jesus is King albums, the former released on June 1st, 2018, and the latter on October 25th, 2019. Jesus is King later went on to receive an award at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
On May 8th, 2019, Pi’erre Bourne and Young Nudy released their collaborative mixtape, called Sli’merre. The mixtape has since received millions of Spotify streams, with Sunflower Seeds reaching over 21 million. With the tracks split personality, the gentle melody in the background combined with aggressive lyrics, it’s no wonder audiences became captivated by this track, and the artists behind it. Other albums Pi’erre has collaborated on include Chavo’s World, with Chavo, released on November 27th, 2020, and Yo!88 with Tm88, released on December 10th, 2021.
Proving that he works just as well on his own, Pi’erre has released two solo albums. On June 21st, 2019, The Life of Pi’erre 4 was released on all streaming services. The rap album was released by Interscope through Pi’erre’s own label imprint, Sosshouse. It has since garnered millions of streams, with the melancholy-edged lead track Poof reaching over 37 million streams on Spotify.
Pi’erre’s sophomore album, The Life of Pi’erre 5, was released for streaming on June 11th, 2021. Once again, the album proves successful with each track garnering millions of streams, with Drunk and Nasty, featuring Sharc, ranking at over 48 million streams. Other artist features include Playboi Carti on Switching Lanes, and Lil Uzi Vert on Sossboy 2.
In 2022, Pi’erre has already released two new singles! Hold It Up was released on February 4th and soon after, Everywhere We Go, with J Billz, was released on February 18th.
