We sat down with performer, singer, and entertainer Peter Brooks to discuss growing up in Washington D.C., his family’s history in showbiz, and more.
Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
My name is Peter Brooks and I was born in D.C. about a mile from Catholic University in a neighborhood called Michigan Park. It is in Piscataway country.
When did you start making music?
I used to dance around to my grandfather’s music as a kid, but I never made music.
Who inspired you to start making music?
Well, my grandfathers and my father, we should have grown up in a showbiz family but I think they wanted more for us.
How would you describe your music style?
Meditative.
