New Music: Spell Jordan – Sorry 4

DC’s Spell Jordan continues to please listeners with his most recent EP, Sorry 4. Throughout the project Spell gives us four distinct and melodic tracks, one of his many specialties showcased throughout all of his releases.
OK! Feat. $outh the Pump serves as the perfect opener to the tape. An acoustic, staccato beat cuts into Spell Jordan’s hard-hitting lyrics giving variance to the song. This contrast theme is continued between both the verses of Spell and then $outh the Pump.
Sorry 4 also includes the much anticipated return of CZ, producing on both Count Me Out and Calabasas. The two tracks serve as reflections on different points in Spell Jordan’s life so far.
Jordan ends the EP with his signature cadence, arriving back to his unique grunge-rap, guitar-filled sound on Street Lights. The song is produced by Glockley, who previously collaborated with Jordan on tracks such as Summer Sunset and The Outside.
The release of this project confirms the rumors Spell’s prolific nature, as he just put out The DCR Tape with fellow DCR signee and producer, Gabey Baby, this past October. However, on Sorry 4, Jordan returns to an alternative rock sound previously explored in 23, one that we all know and love.
