Who is Joseph Henry Lengson?

Joseph Henry Lengson is a multi-talented American artist who has made a name for himself as a musician, author, and photographer. He was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1989, and raised in Bullhead City, Arizona. Lengson started playing the piano at a young age and participated in several local musical projects. In 2004, he released his first solo record under the name Red Lights & Semis, an instrumental ambient electronic project inspired by film score soundtrack music. Lengson went on to become the bassist for the metal band, MyChildren MyBride, before pursuing his solo career under the moniker The Woodsman’s Babe.

Lengson’s solo career started in 2012 when he left MyChildren MyBride and moved back to Los Angeles to focus on his new musical project, The Woodsman’s Babe. His debut EP, released under the independent record label Autumn + Colour, garnered attention, and in 2015, he signed with CI Records, where he released his debut full-length album. In 2016, Lengson released his second album under CI Records, “BABELAND,” which was produced by Stephen Keech. 

In 2019, Lengson began writing music for a new project with the original concept of capturing the sound of 1980’s and 1990’s country Lengson grew up on. The new country music project, Henry Joseph, was written during the winter of 2019, and recorded in January and February 2020 at Mondrian Studios in North Hollywood, CA. and the EP was recorded in Nashville, TN. by Skyler Taylor. In 2022, Lengson introduced the Henry Joseph project to the world.

Lengson’s latest project, Everywhere We Go, is an instrumental project set to be released on May 19, 2023. The three singles, Car Accident, Recital, and The Things That Mean Something To You showcase his creative talent and passion for music. 

With his talent and creativity, Lengson has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, and Everywhere We Go is set to be another masterpiece in his already impressive discography.
