With the pandemic keeping people apart, Ben Hill founded Posse Unit in 2021 to create unity and make music. With the help of social media and Fiverr, UK-based songwriter Ben Hill has connected with producers & singers from Argentina, Nigeria, Romania, and South Africa, making Posse Unit genuinely global. In May 2021, they released their first single, Everybody Party, which went straight to number 7 on the iTunes chart in South Africa. Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?

I’m Ben Hill from the South West, UK, the songwriter in Posse Unit. 

When did you start making music?

At the age of eight, I began making music. 

Who inspired you to start making music?

My mum and dad inspired me to make music, they both were in the same band in the early 80s. My dad sang and played guitar, and my mum played keyboards. 

How would you describe your music style?

I am known for my feel-good, radio-friendly pop/dance music. 

Who are you listening to now?

I am currently listening to a lot of Bruno Mars. 

What’s your best project or single so far?

My best project is She’s My Lady. 

Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?

I’m releasing Enjoy The Ride, Welcome To The Party, Oh, Yeah, and Your Heart Keeps Taking Me Over in August.
