DThang Gz, a rapper from the New York Bronx, was arrested with other members of his gang after they shot at rivals during a turf war in the Bronx. He was also charged with bragging about gun violence in drill rap songs.
As reported by ABC 7 NY, the indictment charges 23 gang members with murder conspiracy, attempted murder, attempted assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. Members of the RPT gang have been accused of committing gang assault on a rival organization in August 2020, according to the NYPD. The District Attorney shared a statement outlining the large indictment, and called on Bronx rappers to “stop using music to encourage shootings and use it to better the community.”
