Zay Boogz is a Kansas City, Kansas-based recording artist developing his own sound and carving a place for himself in the industry. He has an unreleased project on the way called 2020 Classics where he remixes popular songs from the past two years. We sat down with Zay Boogz to discuss his start making music, 2020 Classics, his style, and more.


Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?

My name’s Isaiah, but I go by Zay Boogz and I’m from Kansas City, Kansas. 

When did you start making music?

Roughly around 2019.

Who inspired you to start making music?

No one really, I had a difficult time writing because I guess I lacked in that department, and then one day out of nowhere I was just always writing.

How would you describe your music style?

I honestly don’t know yet, the more I make, I’ll be able to depict my style.

Who are you listening to now?

It’s kind of all over the place, but if ever catch me listening to music I’m probably listening to Polo G, Rod Wave, Juice Wrld, YNW BSlime, and So Faygo. 

What’s your best project or single so far?

My unreleased project is right now called “2020 Classics” that I’m struggling to get it released, but I feel it’s gone my best project for right now.

Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?

My EP 2020 Classics, and some more singles, and then an album.
