An Interview with Akeem Worldwide

Akeem

We spoke with Akeem Worldwide, a hot new artist working with Bobby Adams, who told us about how he uses music to progress his own life and improve the lives of others.

Thanks for sitting down with us for this interview. Tell us a little more about yourself. When did you start making music?

What’s good, okay so I started making music really early somewhere around the age of 12. I had a church-going background because my family sang in church, so I ended up being introduced to music and composition early out and it helped in the grooming process of my musical ideas, compositions, and lyrics.

Who inspired you to start making music?

I was inspired to make music mainly from my dad – as he was a singer also – and always was behind me to sing, or learn an instrument and I ended up doing both. There were other influences also, but those came later on in life.

How would you describe your music style?

My music I would say has no boundaries, as I Iike to experiment. Every musician should find experimenting fun. Creating music is like cooking to me. You have to try new ingredients to get a new taste, so my style is basically an open mind approaching every new beat.

Who are you listening to now?

Right now I’m listening to Mario Barret, Brandy, Summer Walker, Trey Songz, and Drake.

What were you up to in 2021?

Same thing I do every year – try to make more music with more ideas. Hoping if I can’t do it on my own someone will see what a boy tryna do and encourage him.

Do you have any tips or lessons for other artists?

Yes! Learn your craft, practice your craft, find what’s unique about you and sell that. More importantly, learn the industry.

What are your plans for 2022?

2022 – I’m working on some projects, but more focused on a project with team Bobby Adams. I want to see those plans complete and we can see where the sky takes us from there.

Have any messages for the world?

Well, the world is very big, but as big as it gets, it always gets moving by music and other things. But mainly, music moves the world. All I can say, is don’t live for yourself in life, live for the future you.

Look out for more from Akeem Worldwide!
