Upcoming Music: Kings and Liars – Transition Animals

Kings-and-Liars

Connecticut-based hard rock and metal band Kings and Liars’ debut album, Transition Animals, lands on all streaming platforms and in stores on January 28th. A little under two weeks away, Kings and Liars has teased the project with two songs—We Are Alive and Hang on for Dear Life, the latter of which received a music video released at the end of 2021. The project builds upon the sounds the band has been perfecting since the release of their debut 2017 EP Machines and packages them together into one impressive album.

The three person band consists of brothers Charlie and Nick Bellmore of The Dee Snider Band and Jasta and Christopher Taylor Beaudette of Jasta and Entierro. “We’re a power trio that loves big giant riffs, 3 part harmonies, focusing on slower Sludge metal heaviness, and then going full pop in the choruses. Both string players sing lead at different times and our lyrics are introspective and deal with loss, self-therapy, and just old-fashioned anger,” Charlie said in a recent interview with DCR.

Kings and Liars will be touring across the United States this winter to promote the upcoming album. The tour starts on February 4th at Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ. Compared to previous releases, Transition Animals sees a more streamlined band returning to the spotlight as a three-piece, hell-bent on delivering some heavy as all hell, well-crafted, catchy songs. Salt of the Earth Records will release Transition Animals on January 28, 2022. You can pre-order the album on CD and vinyl
