Who is Paul Rajeckas?

Paul-Rajeckas

Paul Rajeckas is a playwright, choreographer, educator, and composer born in New York and currently based in Kent Connecticut. For over 40 years Paul has crafted soundscapes for theater projects ranging from his own solo performances to works with Neil Intraub and the legendary choreographer Jonathan Wolken of Piloblus Dance Theater. It wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic that he began working exclusively on music independent of theater, sharing his creations with friends and family.

The response was overwhelmingly positive. The music resonated deeply with those who listened to it while meditating or during yoga practice, prompting Paul to discover a target audience for his music. In the first months of 2024, Paul began to release his first official singles, building anticipation for his upcoming album, Summer — Kent CT. He also released three singles from a second album, titled Meditation Music for Yoga Nidra

With influences ranging from filmmaker Charlie Chaplin, actor Peter Sellers, choreographer Alwin Nikolais, American classical composer Samuel Barber, movement theater artist Bill Irwin and ambient composer Brian Eno  Paul shares more about his creative  journey and career in this interview.

With the goal of establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in the ambient music community, we are excited to see what Paul goes next with his compositions. With five official singles under his belt, Paul is on a winning streak, with each song exploring different moods  and cinematic soundscapes. Want to learn more about Paul?
