What’s the process behind working on a song like?

I write what I feel! My husband is an incredible songwriter, and so I’m fortunate enough to get to collaborate with him on all of my music. We have a state-of-the-art recording studio on our property in Vermont which gives us a lot of freedom and flexibility.

What is your biggest challenge as an artist?

Breaking through the noise!

Who are your inspirations? What artists or bands are you listening to?

Celine Dion, Adele, and Sarah Bareilles.

Tell me about your new single “It’s My Time” and what inspired you to create it.

Last year, I had a near-fatal health incident. It changed my view on life. It made me rethink how I will spend the remaining precious time I have on this earth. Many of us, especially women, spend our lives putting others’ needs first and that is often necessary. This song is about reaching a place in your life where you put yourself and your dreams centerstage. “I’m stepping into the light, now it’s my time!”

What is your favorite project or single you have released?

My holiday album, This Time of Year.

Have any shoutouts?

My incredible husband, co-writer, and music producer, Andrew Koss.
