One of our favorite Pokemon-inspired rappers and producers, PokeG Beats, recently released his new track earlier last month, titled Frozen (Glitch). Like many of his recent releases, the song is the perfect mix between boppy and catchy Pokemon soundtrack and hard-hitting west coast beats.
We previously caught up with PokeG Beats to discuss some of his influences and history as a rapper and producer. With an incredibly versatile catalog, it is clear that PokeG Beats’ hard work has paid off. Similar to one of his biggest inspirations, Stevie Wonder, PokeG Beats got started in the music industry young when he began making music at just 13 years old. PokeG Beats also released a vibrant, visually intense lyric video for the track. The lyrics on Frozen (Glitch) center around lost love and include many double entendres and references to Pokemon games, which are very entertaining to try and decipher! Pokemon is clearly an important part of PokeG Beats’ style, and he will soon be releasing a new project, titled POKESYNC.
