An Interview with Randy Noonan

Randy-Noonan

Randy Noonan is a recording artist and musician from Connecticut who just released his debut album, Time to Go, this past October. We discussed the project, his inspirations, and much more in this interview.

Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?

My name is Randy Noonan from Hamden, CT.

When did you start making music?

I started playing the drums when I was a teenager and have played in various bands and tracked in studios over the years.

After I bought my first acoustic guitar, I gradually began writing, arranging, and singing my songs in order to prepare them for the recording studio.

Who inspired you to start making music?

I’m inspired to write music by many artists. I listen to most genres of music for enjoyment and to accumulate new ideas and gain inspiration.

What’s your best project or single so far?

My best project is my first album, Time to Go, which was released on October 1st, 2022. The album has nine songs that, in my opinion, reflect my love for a variety of musical styles. They all sound different from one another, yet the album has a continuous theme. I was fortunate to find a great studio with great accompanying musicians to make Time to Go come to life!

My hope is that listeners are willing to listen to the tracks on Time to Go in order because there are various connected themes throughout the album. This was inspired by my admiration of a variety of thematic albums.

Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?

I am currently enjoying writing new tunes and plan to release some singles in 2023, and I’m planning to release my second album sometime in 2024.
