Chris Thomas is the creator of Chris Thomas & the Merrymakers, his latest musical project. Based in Palm Beach County, Florida, this project blends indie, alternative, and rock influences into an emotional and ambient package. Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
Hey guys! I’m Chris Thomas and I’m from Margate, Florida.
When did you start making music?
I started making music when I was 12, it was a great way to express myself playing guitar and singing.
Who inspired you to start making music?
My first inspiration was Kurt Cobain because he made things that were simple and made me feel capable of capturing a sound myself.
How would you describe your music style?
I feel like a heavy and soft alternative rock style of music.
Who are you listening to now?
Right now I listen to a lot of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Foo Fighters, and Cage the Elephant.
Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?
I’m currently trying to form a band with a friend who plays multiple instruments and records all my songs but that’s in the works.
