New Music: Manje Khan – Sweetest Pie

Manje-Khan

Manje Khan is making an impact in the alternative rap scene with his new single Sweetest Pie, that released on October 21. If you mixed Smino, Kendrick Lamar, and Anderson .Paak, you would get Manje Khan. “Little shawty, she a fucking baddie” Manje spits on the hook of his new single Sweetest Pie. As thumping bass and fast hi-hats build up over ambient keys, Manje sing-raps his way through the song’s 2:35 run time. A little bit Swimming Pools and a little bit Netflix & Dusse, Manje Khan adds his own flair and establishes himself as a force to be reckoned with in the alternative rap genre.

Manje Khan’s sound is a melting pot of influences and originality. Based in Atlanta, his sound is right at home with the most popular creatives from the region. Sweetest Pie follows up on five original singles released this year—What a Day, Pull up (Freestyle), Can’t Lie, Waste My Time, and Love About Me. Manje Khan has also released four official projects, three EPs, and an album, over the past three years—AEP4U, AEP4U 2, AEP4U3, and Slum Kid (Reloaded). Sweetest Pie is the culmination of years of hard work, and one of our favorite singles from the Atlanta, Georgia-based creative.

You may have heard of Manje Khan before from his hit single Splash! that made waves two years ago, being streamed over 600,000 times since its official release. In a recent interview, Manje Khan reflected on this, saying “My best single that is out has to be Splash! Years later, a potential sync placement, and 600,000 streams later it’s still a blessing how everything came together.” Even though it was released almost three years ago, Splash! is still a great representation of Manje Khan’s energetic flow. Although his sound has evolved since Splash!, it’s a fantastic record.

Manje Khan could be the next king of alternative rap. Want more from the Atlanta, Georgia-based rapper and recording artist? Follow him on Instagram or TikTok. Want to hear more from him?
