Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
Hi! It’s my pleasure to introduce myself as JBarrera, an up-and-coming Guatemalan artist in the alternative Latin R&B scene. Classical and contemporary music has always inspired me to create my own success story.
When did you start making music?
I am marking my debut this year with my original single, Hablemos which is slated to release soon.
Who inspired you to start making music?
I listen to a lot of different styles of music, and artists … something that has continually inspired me and impacted how I create my own.
How would you describe your music style?
I create alternative R&B songs, empowered by lyrics and melodies set against the backdrop of rhythmic tunes. Also, I am all set to enthrall fans of R&B. I have a carefully crafted experimental style that blends dynamic musical elements and seamlessly complements meaningful lyricism.
Who are you listening to now?
These days I am listening to a lot of different artists, genres, etc.
What can you tell us about your debut single?
A compelling debut release, Hablemos, delivers a blend of R&B lo-fi alternative sounds, scintillating rhythms, and a songwriting style that approaches love more classically.
