He raps about where he is from and the environment in which he grew up. 6 Block references the intersection of 56th Street and Fishburn Avenue where Peysoh describes his childhood and the reality of growing up at that spot. He sings about being dealt a rough hand, living in that area, and the lack of choice in one’s own fate. His music touches on broad issues of racial and classist segregation, as well as honest personal experience. He mentions the untimely death of his father, the harshness of poverty, and the challenges of the built environment in Los Angeles.
