Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
Hey what’s good? I go by Youngworldibi, and I’m a hip hop artist. I take pride in that original hip hop sound and staying true to who I am as an artist. Originality is a must. I’m from Lancaster, PA. I reside back and forth from Lancaster, PA to Camden, New Jersey.
When did you start making music?
I started recording and releasing music since late 2020.
Who inspires you?
I’d have to say Notorious B.I.G. He was the first artist that inspired me to write music. After that I was really big into The Diplomats with Cam’ron and Juelz Santana. Lil Wayne’s also one of my favorite artists of all time and definitely inspired me to keep writing music and step up my game lyrically.
How would you describe your music style?
I would describe my style as very aggressive lyrically and raw. Would have to say I have more of a New York style musically. Don’t think my style really fits todays mold but i pride myself in sounding different so that’s completely fine with me. I’m happy with that. Im a very lyrical artist. Big on punchlines and heavy with metaphors. Along the same lines as the classic Lil Wayne, Juelz Santana, Fabolous, Jadakiss, and many more.
Who are you listening to now?
Besides myself, Im really big on Dave East right now. I also listen to many different artist as well like Fabolous, Jadakiss, Young Thug, some Lil Baby, French Montana, Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Durk, Nipsey Hussle, and of course Tory Lanez.
What’s your best project or single so far?
I’d say my most recent album titled Taking The Throne is my best project. 21 tracks on it and currently at 400,000+ streams on Spotify. My best single would have to be Off The Wall with over 312,000+ streams on Spotify.
Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?
Most definitely. Plan to drop a couple of singles leading up to another full album or mixtape sometime around the summer time. Currently in the studio getting all the tracks together.
