Brad Reid’s Top Three Songs

Brad-Reid

Brad Reid’s boot stomps as his fiddle sounds its Cape Breton heritage. It’s a high-top leather boot he bought touring Russia with Cirque du Soleil, where he played clarinet, sax, and guitar — while skating. Reid thought he’d landed his dream job — good pay, challenging music, traveling the world. In this article, we cover our favorite three songs from the Canadian folk artist.

1. Northumberland Shores

Northumberland Shores is a single from Brad Reid’s debut album NEW Scotland. The success of this single and the project led Brad to be nominated for Folk/Traditional Recording of the Year for 2021 at the Nova Scotia Music Awards.

2. Road to Harrington

Road to Harrington was released in 2020 before being included on NEW Scotland in 2021. This single is another impressive Celtic folk song from the Canadian musician. Road to Harrington is a great intro to Brad’s music or Celtic folk music as a whole.

3. Haley’s (BMX Remix)

Haley Small’s Reel was a standout single from NEW Scotland. To start off 2022, Brad Reid remixed Haley Small’s Reel with a new music video and sound for BMX riders to jam to. Haley’s (BMX Remix) shows off a different side of Brad, and we’re all here for it.
