1. Kings and Liars

Kings and Liars is a genre-bending metal band from New Haven, Connecticut. Made up of Charlie Bellmore, Nick Bellmore, and Chris Beudette, you won’t want to sleep on what this band has been putting out! Their first full-length album, Transition Animals, was just released on January 28th, 2022, packed with heavy and gritty tracks you’ll never get tired of jamming to!

2. SKYND

Who is SKYND? Nobody knows. She claims to have come from “the dark place”, along with her bandmate, Father. SKYND is an industrial metal band who have dedicated their music to true crime, each song being based on disturbing deaths and murders. Their most recent track, Chris Watts, was released on February 16th, 2022, with an accompanying music video. This band is not for the faint of heart, but their fanbase still grows as people become more and more intrigued by the darkness they explore.

3. Wargasm

Wargasm is a nu-metal band hailing from London and comprised of Sam Matlock and Milkie Way. The band is currently touring across the U.K with Neck Deep, and have shows lined up all throughout 2022. Packed with electro-punk and hip-hop influences, you won’t want to miss this dynamic band! Listen to tracks like Spit or Rage All Over and you won’t want to rage to anything else!

4. Heriot

Heriot is fairly new to the scene, but that doesn’t stop them from going all in with their music. Brutal and filled with angst, anyone who loves the metal genre will get lost in this bands atmosphere. Erhan Alman, Jake Packer, Julian Gage, and Debbie Gough all come together in this quartet from the U.K. to deliver some of the most brutal metal of the era! Craving more? Well, get excited because their Profound Mortality album is scheduled for release on April 29th, 2022!

5. Bloodywood

Bloodywood is absolutely essential for any metal lovers playlist. Formed in 2016 and made up of Karan Katiyar, Jayant Bhadula, and Raoul Kerr, the band started off by recording parodies of popular songs, but since then they have come into their own. The folk metal band from New Delhi, India just released their debut studio album, Rakshak, on February 18th, 2022. Keep an eye out for this band, and while you’re at it, add them to your playlist!
