Bringing a new twist on hip hop, rhythm and blues, soul, and dancehall, Owshan is a new artist on the scene with a refreshing sound. Aptly timed for Valentine’s Day, Owshan’s debut single, Cupid’s Arrow just released and it’s sure to make you emotional. “They giving side eye, well make them cry,” Owshan sings as the song starts. Owshan’s voice is angelic, and Cupid’s Arrow is on repeat for us all day!
We asked her what inspires her to create such beautiful music in a recent interview, and Owshan said “The inspiration is creativity and imagination. It started in childhood. As children, we all have the greatest adventures in our minds. We create by relating to events in our surroundings or dreams in our heads. The ability to demonstrate my creative imagination or perspective through songwriting and poetry in music that people can relate to and enjoy is a rewarding gift.” Check out the full interview for more.
