We’re always excited to see creatives expand into new avenues with their art. MarCell JB is an artist mostly known for his videography talents, working with artists such as Young Nudy and Rich Homie Quan to shoot some of their biggest music videos.
MarCell JB said on January 1st that in November of last year he had promised himself that 2021 would be his year.
That same day he released his own music video and single on all streaming platforms, titled Heart Aches. MarCell discusses battling his own demons, his past, and current struggles on the record and music video, featuring a cameo from Rich Homie Quan himself. “Feel like my soul leaving, I can’t take it no more” MarCell sings over a melodic, powerful instrumental.
The video features MarCell in a straight jacket on the run, bloodied, in a shower, and other dark imagery. Despite the dark visuals, MarCell has a sonically impressive, beautiful voice that will appeal to pain rap, melodic rap, and pop-rap fans alike.
