New Music: Bleaux – Face Lift

Bleaux Face Lift

Nashville, Tennessee is a city known for its music culture and historically the country scene. As of recent years, the area has seen a dramatic rise in its punk and hip hop scenes. This can be credited to the successes of artists such as Kool Daddy Fresh, Boogie, Pistol, South 8 Mafia, Quanie Cash early on and most recently acts such as Kings of Leon, Young Buck, and Starlito. However, the underground scene in Nashville has also been prospering. One of the most exciting artists coming out of Nashville is Bleaux, an artist fusing together both punk and hip hop influences while dabbing in distortion and heavy experimentation.

His recent full length project, Aggro, hit all platforms on October 30th. Over the past few weeks, Face Lift, featuring DTL, the fifth track off the project has been gaining steam, breaking 19,000 streams as of date. The single features a prominent social message coupled with incredibly catchy lyrics. “Fuck the cops, I let them chase, yeah I let them chase” Bleaux vocalizes on the hook as the distorted beat drops.

On November 13th, 2020, Bleaux released the official music video to the song via Upstate Sound. The video’s gritty, flashy, and aggressive visuals fit perfectly with the audio. Bleaux is seen covered in blood, escaping from the police with the help of DTL. The music video is shot by Silas Clay, edited by OHTOM, and directed by The Vision.

With an important message and an infectious sound, Bleaux is an act you don’t want to miss out on. Check out the music video on YouTube via Upstate Sound and listen to the full Aggro project on Spotify.
