An Interview with B.A.D. Poetry

We had the opportunity to sit down with Bay Area recording artist B.A.D. Poetry to discuss his inspirations, upcoming music, Stripe Gang, and more.

Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?

My name is B.A.D. Poetry a.k.a. Philip Thomas. I am from the Bay Area.

When did you start making music?

I started making music around the age of 19.

Who inspired you to start making music?

Music legends from the past like anyone from Michael Jackson to Queen. I was

also inspired by my family and peers around me.

How would you describe your music style?

My style of music to me is lyrical, soul, melodic and a bit mysterious.

Who are you listening to now?

I listen to oldies, soul, a bit of rock, r&b, and trap music.

What’s your best project or single so far?

I feel like the best project that i’ve released so far has been my latest release “Zombies Ate My Neighbors”.

Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?

Working on ideas for music videos as well as my next project that will be called “The Great Urameshi”.

Where would you like to travel?

Japan or Columbia.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Owning and operating at least 2 companies.

If you could work with 3 artist dead or alive who would they be?

Tupac, Evidence, NBA Youngboy.

If you could have one superpower what would it be?

Power to read minds.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Taylor Swift.

How do you plan to positively impact the industry?

I plan on doing this through helping good people that need help.
