We had the chance to interview New Orleans born, Mississippi transplant Mark Free, a rising Southern rapper with a unique style and energy.
Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?
I am Mark Free. I am originally from New Orleans Louisiana.
When did you start making music?
I started freestyling and writing music when I was 13 years old. I didn’t record my first song till I was 17.
Who inspired you to start making music?
Really my big brother cno luxury was my inspiration to start rapping and being recorded.
How would you describe your music style?
I would describe my style as southern rap.
Who are you listening to now?
Really right now I listen to myself and my camp’s music, and any southern rappers.
What’s your best project or single so far?
My best single called How Them Haters Walk.
Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?
Yes Walk that Walk is an upcoming release and a new mixtape.
